Jiltsi/Rindi part 2


Here is the second installment of the Tzarina's 28-man bodyguard - 6 more with the big Mordheim swords and bucklers and 6 more with the halberds from the Mordheim Kislevite sprue. 

Time for some close-up.  First of the six sword and buckler men:

I still have 4 more figures to finish - 2 more rank-and-file, the musician, and the standard bearer.  I'm also planning on making a movement tray for them.

  1. Coming along nicely. If you find that you need more rank & file models down the line, I've found Fireforge's new Medieval Russian range to be quite excellent.

    I have the plastic infantry box and also Alexander Nevsky, though they have quite a lot more in metal and resin.

  2. Yes, I've seen the Fireforge figures and they are awesome. Thinking of doing an urban militia unit (which would explain the anachronistic armor and clothing) and/or a unit made out of the unarmored resin militia figs.
